Learn about the program for the HMC from 2021-2022. 

The Second HEALTH MATTERS CONVENTION, “Health is what Matters”, is held with the same directive elements: EVOO – Fatty Acids – Phenols – Mediterranean Diet

June 26 and 27.

A Pre Convention event to be held in the city of Granada on June 26 in the afternoon at the Hotel Alhambra Palace in Granada with the reception of all participants.

On the 27th at 9:00 am there will be a visit to the monument of the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens, and in the afternoon we will have a fraternization dinner in a restaurant in Los Cármenes de Granada.

June 28. Morning.

And on the 28th in the morning we will depart by bus to the town of Montefrío, 45 minutes from Granada. We will have a series of events and at 12 noon we will visit the San Francisco de Asís de Montefrío Oil Mill where we will have a “country meal” that will end at 3:00 pm.

And then transfer by bus to Malaga (arrival 16.30h)

June 28. Afternoon.

On the 28th at 7:00 pm the Accreditations will be delivered to the participants at the Hotel Estival Torrequebrada in Benalmádena, Málaga, Spain. A first EVOO Tasting (capacity 25 people upon registration) and at 8:00 p.m. the Second Health Matters Convention will begin with the participation of Authorities, and the First Master Conference, which will be given by Cordelia Running, co-discoverer of the SIXTH FLAVOR, the OLEOGUSTUS. That is, the Flavor of Fat.
Subsequently, a Spanish Wine Glass will be held for all Participants.

June 29.

  • On the 29th at 9:00 am the reading of Abstracts, presentation of free themes and Posters will be held.
  • At 12:30 pm the first Round Table will be held.
  • At 1:30 p.m. the second EVOO Tasting will take place (capacity 25 people, prior registration).
  • At 1:30 p.m. First Showcooking (capacity 30 people, prior registration)
  • From 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. working lunch.
  • From 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., which will be the last presentation of Abstracts, free themes and Posters
  • At 6.30 p.m. Second Round Table.
  • At 7:30 p.m. there will be another EVOO tasting (capacity 25 people, prior registration)

June 30.

  • On the 30th we will begin at 9:00 am with the reading of Abstracts, free themes and Posters.
  • At 12:30 p.m. Third Round Table
  • At 1:30 p.m. the fourth EVOO Tasting will take place (capacity 25 people, prior registration).
  • At 1:30 p.m. Second Showcooking (capacity 30 people, prior registration)
  • From 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. working lunch
  • From 16:30 to 18,00 Fourth Round Table
  • From 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Fifth Round Table
  • At 7:30 p.m. Fifth Evoo Tasting

July 1st.

  • On July 1 at 9:00 am, then visit Producers’ Booths.
  • At 11.00 am Sixth EVOO Tasting (capacity 25 people, prior registration)
  • At 12.00 pm, Sixth Edition WBHEC 2021/2022 Contest Award Ceremony for the Best Healthy EVOO in the World.
  • At 12:30 pm Delivery of Commemorative Diplomas and Medals to the Participants of the Second Health Matters Convention.
  • At 1:00 p.m. Second Master Lecture by Professor José Ordovás from Tufts University of Boston and Director of the Nutrigenomics Center of the Community of Madrid.At 2:00 p.m. closing of the Second Health Matters Convention.Closing lunch
